Royal Mail Pay Slips Message Supports CWU 'Bite-Back' Campaign And E-Petition

Following a suggestion by Pete Robinson a CWU Workplace Safety Rep from the Bradford & District Amal Branch, CWU’s National Health, Safety & Environment Officer Dave Joyce has been able to inform Branches and Safety Reps that following my discussions with Royal Mail HQ at Director and Board level, they have agreed that that the next available slot on both weekly and monthly pay-slips, this month, will carry a message to all Royal Mail employees urging them to sign the CWU 'Bite-Back' Campaign, No 10 Downing St Petition.

Due to space limitations it was restricted to just 140 digits maximum and therefore the following message will appear which includes the appropriate information:-

"Please help stop dog attacks on postal workers, sign the CWU and RMG supported petition at: http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/22631"

With the CWU’s No 10 Downing St petition now having reached over 10,000 signatures there remains less than one month to make a big push to drive up the numbers towards the Union’s 100,000 target and make a real impact on the government.

In Dave’s letter to CWU branches, LTB264/12, he urges all Branches to make every effort and ask their members to take 5 minutes to click on the No 10 Downing St Website and sign the Dangerous Dogs petition.
